JOY FUCHS RECOGNIZED BY CIRA BOARD
Washington County Commissioner Joy Fuchs was recently recognized for her service on a state board.
Fuchs was presented an award for her service on the County Information Resources Agency (CIRA) Board of Directors, during a board meeting on October 22nd.
Fuchs became a member of the CIRA board in 2018. The CIRA, an agency of the Texas Association of Counties (TAC), provides technology solutions to Texas counties and local governments, including email and website hosting.
In acknowledging the board members whose terms are ending, TAC Executive Director Susan Redford thanked Fuchs for “serving not only Washington County as an effective commissioner but also all Texas counties as a member of TAC CIRA’s Board of Directors.” Redford said Fuchs’ “insights and commitment to success have proved critical to the services TAC CIRA provides.”
The CIRA and its board was created in 2001. CIRA board members are appointed by the president of the TAC Board of Directors, with approval from those directors, and serve three-year terms. Members must be an employee or elected official of a county that is a member of the CIRA.
