WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER POSSIBLE CHAPPELL CREEK LANE MAINTENANCE

  

Washington County Commissioners will consider placing a road in the Chappell Creek subdivision into a one-year maintenance period and reducing its required bond amount at their meeting Tuesday.

The road to be discussed by commissioners is Chappell Creek Lane, measuring .211 miles.

According to the agenda packet, County Engineer Ross McCall is recommending placing the subdivision into the maintenance period, but is seeking to have several issues addressed before final county road acceptance.

The issues noted by McCall include the placement of a “no outlet” sign near the entrance, the placement of a stop bar, a difference between the installed 25 mph speed limit sign and the proposed speed limit of 30 mph, and the removal of spoil material from TxDOT right-of-way caused by utility installation.

Also on Tuesday, commissioners will consider a formal notice from Corix Utilities for a road bore to provide a new water service line on Allen Road.  They will also review monthly reports from the emergency management coordinator, county and district clerks, justices of the peace, auditor, tax assessor/collector, treasurer, constables and elections office.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
