A Houston man wanted in connection to an armed robbery in August at a Dollar General store near Lake Somerville is now in Burleson County custody.

18-year-old Jayshua Dquan Marquis Lee Hedge was arrested last week on an unrelated aggravated robbery charge in Harris County.  He was then transferred after Harris County deputies notified Burleson County of their arrest.

Hedge is one of several suspects charged in the robbery, which occurred on August 14th at the Dollar General off FM 60 at County Road 410.

Suspects include 25-year-old Robert Parker Feltus, who was arrested on August 23rd at an apartment complex in Bryan, and 41-year-old James Matalice Smith, who was killed following an 8-hour-long standoff the night of August 17th, during which he shot Burleson County Chief Deputy John Pollock and DPS Trooper Joshua Strawn.  Pollock and Strawn were treated and later released from St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

A 15-year-old juvenile from Houston who is also wanted in connection to the robbery remains at large.

  1. That is great news!
Hopefully that person can be locked up for a very long time, away from all of the rest of society.
    Great job!
