MAN CONVICTED OF AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD IN WALLER CO. SENTENCED TO 40 YEARS

A man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child in Waller County.
32-year-old Brice Blankenship was sentenced on Monday after being found guilty in 506th Judicial District Court on Friday, following a five-day trial.
The Waller County District Attorney’s Office said the offense occurred in 2015 and involved a child under the age of 6. The punishment carried a minimum of 25 years in prison.
The District Attorney’s Office was represented by Melissa Hudspeth and Mia Magness. Sentencing was carried out by Judge Albert McCaig, Jr., who was specially assigned to the case.
