CALDWELL WOMAN KILLED IN BRAZOS COUNTY TRAFFIC CRASH
26 year old Caldwell nurse died at the scene
Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety have identified the victim of a fatal traffic accident Monday night in Brazos County.
26 year old Miranda Meckel of Caldwell was driving a 2018 Toyota on Highway 21 near Pleasant Hill Road around 6:30pm when it crashed into the back of a 2016 Mack semi-trailer. Meckel, who worked as a nurse for St. Joseph Health, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi, 44 year old Cheka McCoy of Livingston, was not injured. The DPS said that McCoy failed to yield the right of way while he was pulling out of a private driveway.
