Faith Mission has activated the Neighbors Helping Neighbors accounts at Bank of Brenham, Brenham National Bank and Citizens State Bank.  All contributions will be directly administered by Faith Mission, or through Salvation Army as a partner of Faith Mission, for disaster assistance.

Dozens of tornadoes hit the states of Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri and Mississippi.  Over 90 people have been confirmed dead, and over 100 are unaccounted for.

State Senator Lois Kolkhorst said she has had several constituents ask her who is helping people impacted by the tornadoes.  She said Faith Mission Executive Director Reverend Randy Wells assured her his organization would open accounts locally to provide assistance.

Rev. Wells said Washington County “has a heart for suffering people,” and whenever there is a need, residents ask how they can help.  He said Faith Mission is “honored” to make this relief effort happen.

Faith Mission has a fiscal audit conducted annually by Seidel Schroeder, Certified Public Accountants/Business Advisors.
