FIVE PEOPLE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Five people pled guilty and were sentenced in District Court this week by Judge Reva Towslee Corbett.
Denzel Quinn Ellis, 29 of Brenham, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in August of last year.
Miguel Angel Hernandez, 28 of Houston, was sentenced to 3 years in prison for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Early Jerome Newsome, 40 of Brenham, was sentenced to 3 years in prison for Bail Jumping/Fail to Appear. He was also sentenced to time served in the county jail for Theft of Property less than $2500 with Two or More Previous Convictions.
Bennie Norman Middlebrooks, 43 of Humble, had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 2 ½ years in prison for a 2018 Possession of Controlled Substance conviction. He was also ordered to pay a $500 fine.
Bennie Byrd, 35 of Brenham, was sentenced to 12 months in state jail for Attempted Tampering with Physical Evidence.
