BRENHAM ISD STUDENTS AWARDED AT HLSR SCHOOL OF ART JUDGING
Brenham ISD students won several awards Friday at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s (HLSR) School of Art Judging.
Seven students across the district took home three best of show awards and four gold medals in the School Art Program. Each January, schools participating in the program compete in district shows judged by the HLSR’s School Art Committee.
10-year-old Sefunmi Oruwa of Alton Elementary School received a best of show award for her work, titled “Potted Beauties.”

7-year-old Bailey Williams of Brenham Elementary School was awarded a gold medal for her piece, “Baaa!”
