DEVARJAYE DANIEL SWORN IN TO MULTIPLE AGENCIES
A large turnout of law enforcement agencies across Washington County greeted Devarjaye “DJ” Daniel in his quest to be sworn in as an honorary police officer by 100 law enforcement agencies. The event was held at the Blinn College rec-center Wednesday morning. The 10-year-old boy has terminal brain and spinal cancer, and he wants to continue the legacy of Abigail Arias by bringing awareness to childhood cancer. “DJ” was sworn into the Brenham and Blinn Police Departments, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Brenham Fire Marshall’s Office, the Constables office, as the District Attorney’s investigator, and as a Texas Game Warden. With the honorary officer’s titles today, “DJ” has reached 87 of his goal of 100 law enforcement agencies. Each of the agencies gave a short speech at the event and the large turnout was treated to food and drink supplied by HEB.
