THREE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT THIS WEEK

Three people pled guilty and were sentenced in District Court this week by Judge Carson Campbell.
Donovan Olyn Houston, 23 of Austin, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Houston was arrested by Brenham Police after a traffic stop in July and discovered with 15 kilos of methamphetamines, with an estimated street value of over $1.4-million.
Oscar Griffin, III, 36 of Brenham, was sentenced to 2 years in prison for Bail Jumping. He was also sentenced to 15 months is state jail for Theft of Copper and ordered to pay $100 restitution.
Bobby Charles Ragston, Jr., 35 of Brenham, was sentenced to 7 years deferred adjudication probation for Attempted Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and perform 150 hours of Public Service.
