SEVEN PEOPLE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT THIS WEEK

Seven people pled guilty and were sentenced by Judge Reva Towslee Corbett in District Court this week.

Antonio Ray Bosquez, 43 of Brenham, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for Driving While Intoxicated, 3rd or more offences.   He was arrested by Brenham Police in October of last year for DWI.

Ronald Jason Cienega, 33 of Brenham, after a hearing had his probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 10 years’ probation for having a Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility in 2018.  He was also ordered to pay a $1022 fine and complete an Intermediate Sanction Facility-Drug Track program through Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Facility Program.

Joaquin Santos Echeverria, 26 of Chappell Hill, was sentenced to 8 years deferred adjudication probation for Assault of a Family Member by Impeding Breath or Circulation.  He was also ordered to pay a $1500 fine, perform 200 hours of community service, and have no contact with the victim in the case.

Noe Ochoa, II, 21of San Antonio, was sentenced to 4 years deferred adjudication for Burglary of a Building.  He was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and perform 200 hours of community service.

Dontae Hammons, 23 of Brenham, was sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication probation for Possession of Marijuana between 4 oz and 5 lbs.  He was also ordered to pay a $1000 fine and perform 200 hours of community service.

Jewelien Luwanaga Silmon, 20 of Houston, was sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication probation for Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle.  He was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and perform 200 hours of public service.

Erica Love, 34 of Brenham, was sentenced to 2 years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance.  She was also ordered to pay a $500 fine.

In previous action, Ernest Medina, 67 of Brenham, plead guilty on October 28th and was sentenced on March 4 by Judge Carson Campbell to 10 years deferred adjudication probation for Indecency with a Child / Sexual Contact.  He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim, complete drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, and abide by the sex offender conditions of probation.
