THREE BUSINESSES LAUNCHING FROM DOWNTOWN BRENHAM RETAIL INCUBATOR
Three of the seven participants in downtown Brenham’s retail incubator have officially launched their businesses.
Six months after the opening of YellowTruck Market in October, and nine months after the beginning of the collaboration between Brenham | Washington County Economic Development, Main Street Brenham and YellowTruck LLC owner Tiffany McMordie-Morisak in July, three members of the inaugural cohort are exiting the two-year incubator program to either launch their own brick and mortar location, create an online store, or move towards wholesale or distribution. They are Local Honey Bee Company, posey roe and The Butter Stick Bakery.
The Local Honey Bee Company, owned by Jeff and Sandi Kreider, has partnered with Planify Agency, a Brenham-based digital marketing agency for small businesses, to design and launch a website for their honey bee inspired products. Customers can find them at https://localhoneybeecompany.com.
Kelli Williams, owner of posey roe, offers a merchandise line of products she makes or curates from artists around the world. She will transition from YellowTruck Market to a physical location at 218 East Main Street in downtown Brenham, opening in April. She can also be found on Instagram via @posey.roe.
Stephanie Dobos, Brenham High School graduate and owner of The Butter Stick Bakery, has accepted an offer to be the head chef at a Katy-area bakery to hone her skills in owning and operating a bakery. She will continue to take special orders for her custom cookies and cakes from her Facebook page, The Butter Stick Bakery, with local delivery options. She also has partnerships in the works with local retail outlets.
Four retailers continue to participate in the incubator, those being The COEO, Pelayo’s Art & Folk, Company Five, and Krafty Inc.
Hours at YellowTruck Market are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
