REPEAT OFFENDER BACK BEHIND BARS AFTER BEING CAUGHT BY AUTHORITIES

(Grimes Co. Jail)
A Bedias man out on bond from the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office found himself back in jail a week later.
Around 3:30am Thursday morning, Madison County Sheriff’s Deputy John Kindon was patrolling the County Fairgrounds in Madisonville when he noticed two suspicious subjects and a suspicious vehicle behind the livestock pens.
An investigation led to the arrest of Rohnny Steven Steele for Theft of Property $30,000 to $150,000, and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamines). More charges are pending.
Deputies also recovered at the scene a 40 foot Prowler 5th Wheel that was reported stolen out of Grimes County.
The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the recovery and will be assisting with the investigation.
Steele was arrested in Grimes County on March 17 after he and another person were in possession of over $75,000 of stolen property. Steele was also charged with Theft of a Firearm and Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
