BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL ART STUDENT IS GOING TO STATE COMPETITION

A Brenham High School Art student is going to State after his piece was recognized during the Regional Visual Art Scholastic event.

Kylon Green was chosen for his graphite pencil artwork entitle, “The Body of Hidden Temple.”

Judges select less than 10% of the artwork submitted from each division to go to State which is being held in San Marcos at the end of April.

Green along with six other Brenham High School students received Gold Medals at Regionals.

The other students were Jessica Kruse, Christin Lee, Amira Manry, Destiny Parker, Jeremy Schuhknecht, and Maria Solis.

Students spent months creating stunning artwork in addition to writing a series of short answer responses that were combined into a grading rubric for an overall score.
