BURTON FFA DAIRY TEAM PLACES FIFTH AT STATE

Burton FFA’s Dairy Cattle team finished among the top teams in Texas at the State FFA Dairy Cattle Contest.
The team of Cassidy Fuchs, Weston Hinze, Taiden Thiel and Tanna Thiel placed 5th overall at the competition, held on Thursday at the Tarleton State Equine Center in Stephenville.
Hinze was named 7th high individual, while Tanna Thiel was 23rd high individual.
A total of 60 teams and 236 individuals competed at the state contest. It consisted of six placing classes of Brown Swiss, Holstein and Jersey cows and heifers, along with a pedigree class, 15 herd record questions and 10 questions over the animals.
