PEACE OFFICER MEMORIAL SERVICE FRIDAY IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM

  

The public is invited tomorrow (Friday) morning to downtown Brenham for a memorial observance in honor of fallen peace officers.

The service, hosted by the Washington County Peace Officers Association, will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the Washington County Courthouse square.

The observance will open with a prayer, followed by the presentation of flags, the Pledge of Allegiance and words from a guest speaker.  Organizers will then read the names of officers killed in the line of duty in the past year.

The service will end with a wreath presentation and the playing of “Taps”.
