BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED ON ASSAULT CHARGES

A Brenham man was arrested Friday morning on assault charges.
Brenham Police report that Friday morning at 8:20, Sgt. Merkley responded to the 1100 block of Kerr Street in reference to an active disturbance. After investigation, Ezraick Newsome, 22 of Brenham was found to have assaulted an elderly individual prior to Officers arrival. While on the scene Newsome again assaulted a family member in the presence of Officers and was taken into custody for Injury to the Elderly and Family Violence Assault. Newsome was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked in.
