Kyle Rittenhouse, who announced last week he would be going to Texas A&M University, now says he will take classes at Blinn College.

Rittenhouse stated on a national podcast that he would attend Texas A&M, but the university later confirmed to numerous outlets that he was not enrolled.

Rittenhouse took to Twitter on Monday to say the end of his high school career was “robbed” from him, and that he would attend Blinn this year before joining Texas A&M in 2023.

Blinn Communications Director Richard Bray said Rittenhouse has applied, but is not yet enrolled for any classes.  Blinn has an open enrollment policy; according to the College’s website, “most students will be accepted and eligible to register for classes once they submit all required admissions documents.”

Rittenhouse also said he plans to move to Texas at the end of June.

Rittenhouse was found not guilty by a jury on several felony charges after fatally shooting two protestors and wounding a third during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin in August 2020.  Rittenhouse, who was 17 at the time of the shooting, testified his actions were in self-defense.
