FAYETTE COUNTY COMMUNITY THEATRE AUDITIONING FOR “PETER PAN AND WENDY”

  

The Fayette County Community Theatre invites La Grange ISD students to audition for their summer production of “Peter Pan and Wendy.”

The auditions are being held next week Monday and Tuesday, June 20-21, at 5:30pm at the La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center at 656 East Travis Street in La Grange.

The Community Theatre says that the play is a great opportunity for young actors, actresses, and crew members to get some theatrical experience.

“Peter Pan and Wendy” is based on the 1904 play and later a book by Scottish novelist J.M. Barrie. It was later adapted by American playwright, Doug Rand.

It tells the story of Peter Pan, also known as “the Boy Who Never Grew Up”, and who lived in the fantasy world of Neverland.

He brings his girlfriend Wendy along with her brothers John and Michael to Neverland, where they meet the Lost Boys, Tinker Bell, and fight the evil Captain Hook.

The story was also a popular Disney animated film in 1953.

The performances of “Peter Pan and Wendy” are going to be held August 5-7 at the Performing Arts Center.
