BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO APPROVE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES POOL

The Brenham School Board will meet Monday morning to potentially select one or several architects to engage with as it continues discussions on a path forward following May’s failed bond measure.

The board will consider approval of an architectural services pool for projects on an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) basis.

Superintendent Dr. Tylor Chaplin said trustees will choose between the three architecture firms that gave presentations at a meeting on June 22nd, those being PBK Architecture, PlanNorth Architecture and Huckabee Architecture.

Dr. Chaplin said the board could move forward with one, two or all three companies.  He noted that engaging with an architect does not cost the school district.

Also on Monday, trustees will formally approve the naming of Steven Siemsglusz as Brenham Elementary School’s new principal and select the candidate who will fill his former role as assistant principal at Brenham Middle School.

The board will then discuss personnel matters in executive session.

Monday’s meeting will begin at 8 a.m., and will be held in the Brenham ISD Administration Office.
