ONE ARRESTED IN AUSTIN CO. METH TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION

An early-morning operation at a motel in Sealy resulted in an arrest on multiple drug charges.

Around 5 a.m. Wednesday, the Austin County-led Westside Narcotics Task Force executed a search and arrest warrant at the Countryside Inn in the 2000 block of Highway 36.  The operation was the culmination of an investigation involving methamphetamine trafficking.

The Austin County Special Response Team arrested Damien Vachel Eveline for three counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and one count of Tampering with Evidence.

Eveline is currently being held in the Austin County Jail on $65,000 bond.

The investigation was conducted jointly with the Westside Narcotics Task Force and the Austin County District Attorney’s Office.

The Austin County Special Response Team consists of members from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Bellville Police Department, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Austin County Constable Precinct 2, Sealy Police Department and the Washington County Tactical Medical EMS.  The Westside Narcotics Task Force is comprised of investigators from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Waller County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Bellville Police Department, Sealy Police Department, Hempstead Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
