The official storyteller for the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library in Brenham will travel to Uvalde to share stories and songs with children.

Louise Barbour, also known as “Miss Lou Lou”, will visit the El Progreso Memorial Library on August 3rd from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  The San Antonio Storytellers Association, which Barbour is a member of, will bring interactive laughter and fun to families.

Barbour said she is excited to be included in a group of storytellers sharing programs with children at the library, and hopes they “will bring some joy into these kids’ lives after such a devastating tragedy.”

Brenham Librarian Idalia Avezuela said she is “very touched by Lou Lou’s initiative and kindness,” and is “confident that she will deliver as much joy to the kids in Uvalde as she gives to our kids here in Brenham.”
