BURTON VOLLEYBALL LOSES THREE, WHILE RT-C GOES 2-1 IN TOURNAMENT PLAY

The Burton Lady Panthers Volleyball Team had a tough day at the Westwood Tournament losing to three games to drop to 0-4 on the season.  The Panthers, who are in Class 2A, played against three 6A teams.

  • lost to Buda Johnson 25-16, 25-14
  • lost to Vandegrift 25-13, 25-11
  • lost to Clear Lake 25-17, 26-28, and 25-22

The Lady Panthers will face 6A Clear Falls this (Friday) morning at 9am, 5A Killeen Ellison at noon, and 4A Bandera at 1pm.

 

The Round-Top Carmine Cubettes won two out of three matches yesterday (Thursday) at the Navasota Tournament.

In the first match, they lost to the Tomball JV 25-21, 21-25, and 25-16.

RT-C beat Hempstead 25-9 and 25-15.

RT-C beat Somerville 25-13 and 25-6.

  • Jill Eilers - 5 kills and 5 digs
  • Krause - 13 assists and 5 digs
