DAY 2 AT WESTWOOD: CUBETTES WIN THREE MORE, BURTON GETS FIRST WIN

Today (Friday) was another day and three more victories for the Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team at the Westwood Tournament.

The Cubettes beat St. Stephens in the first match 25-13 and 25-12. Brooke Bentke and Charli Crowson had six kills each.  Bentke added eight service aces.  Crowson and Kristen Kuehn had six assists each.  Kuehn also had six digs.

In the second match, they defeated Little Elm 25-15 and 25-15. Bentke had six kills.  Kuehn had nine digs. Crowson had six assists.

Then, in the final match of the day, they knocked off the host school, Westwood, 25-19 and 25-12. Bentke had nine kills. Kuehn had eight digs. Crowson dished out 11 assists.

Brenham improves to 7-0 on the season.

Meanwhile, the Burton Lady Panthers their first two matches of the day, but did come back to pick up their first win in the last match of the day. (Keep in mind that Burton is a 2A school, that played against four 6A teams, one 5A team, and one 4A team.)

Burton lost the first match of the day to Clear Falls 25-15 and 25-19.

They then lost the second match to Killeen Ellison 25-8 and 25-17.

The Lady Panthers wrapped up the day by beating Bandera 25-23 and 25-12.
