ONE KILLED AND ONE INJURED IN A FOUR VEHICLE CRASH
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the cause of a fatal traffic crash that occurred yesterday (Monday) on Highway 6 between Navasota and College Station.
According to DPS Sgt. Justin Ruiz, a series of collisions occurred yesterday (Monday) afternoon at 3:05pm on Highway 6 near FM 2154.
A 2022 Dodge Charger, a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a 2022 Toyota Tacoma were traveling northbound, while a 2005 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee attempted to change lanes, struck the Dodge Charger, and the Toyota Tacoma. This caused the Dodge Charger to cross over the center median and into the southbound lanes and hit the Toyota Corolla head-on.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla, 53-year-old Wenjun Li of Sugarland, was pronounced dead at the scene by Brazos County Precinct One Justice of the Peace Kenney Elliott.
The driver of the Dodge Charger, 21-year-old Jesus Sic of Bryan, was transported to St. Joseph Regional Health for treatment of his injuries.
The drivers of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Toyota Tacoma were not injured.
