BRENHAM CUBETTES WIN A FIVE SET THRILLER OVER EPISCOPAL

It went to five sets, but the Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team came away with a hard fought 3-2 victory over Episcopal last (Tuesday) night.

Episcopal won the the first set 25-12, Brenham won the second set 26-24, and Episcopal won the third set 25-19 to take a 2-1 lead.

With their backs against the wall, the Cubettes battled back and won the final two sets 25-21 and 15-11.

Brooke Bentke had 17 kills and 13 digs.  Charli Crowson added 13 kills, 9 digs, and 26 assists.  Averi Frazier finished with 14 digs and 13 assists. Kristen Kuehn had 19 digs and Lillie Thibodeaux added 10 digs.

The Cubettes are off the rest of the week. They will return to action next Tuesday, September 6, against Friendswood at 6pm at the Brenham High School Gym. It's their final match before the start of district play.
