WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS APPROVE VIDEO WALL AT EXPO SALES FACILITY

Expo Director Harrison Williams speaks to Washington County Commissioners on Tuesday about a video wall project at the Washington County Expo sales facility. The project will add several large TV screens to help during sales at the county fair.

Guests to the Washington County Fair can expect to see benefits from a new video wall at the Washington County Expo.

County Commissioners on Tuesday agreed to use up to $15,000 in Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) funds to pay for video upgrades at the Expo sales facility.

Expo Director Harrison Williams said the project is part of a collaboration with the county IT department and IT Director TJ Harris.  He said the addition of several large TV screens will be helpful during fair auctions and sales, and will also be useful for non-fair events.

The HOT funds used to cover the video wall are generated from tourism revenue that the Expo brings in, and are not property tax dollars.

The project is expected to be complete before this year’s county fair, which gets underway in less than two weeks.

  1. It would be nice if you would build Bathrooms!! Old outdated and ADA compliant bathrooms are no where to be found, only one & it’s locked to public only VIP people allowed inside at the fair Check out what Caldwell did solid, basic, ADA & easy to maintain Nice bathrooms Build it where that little hole in the wall bathroom is on the west side of county creations building
