LIVESTOCK JUDGING OPENS WEDNESDAY AT WASHINGTON CO. FAIR
Today (Wednesday) marks the beginning of livestock judging at the 154th Washington County Fair.
Many of the fair’s livestock categories will be shown throughout today. That includes the rabbit and barrow shows at 8 a.m., commercial steer grading at 9 a.m., carcass hog awards at 11 a.m., steer show at noon, lamb show at 3 p.m. and goat show at 4:30 p.m.
Elsewhere at the fair, the country store and country creations will open at 10 a.m., along with commercial exhibits. Other activities will be the children’s petting zoo, antique farm equipment displays, the Heart of America Carnival, and the Little and Junior Mister and Miss Contests starting at 6 p.m. That will be followed by mutton bustin’ at 6:30 p.m., bull riding at 7:30 p.m., and entertainment from Jacob Boyd at 8 p.m.
KWHI will have live reports from the fair from 10 a.m. to noon and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
KWHI and KTEX-106 will have the Wagon Wheel of Prizes at the fair beginning this evening through Saturday. All proceeds from spins of the wheel will benefit the Washington County Firefighters Association.
