After searching for a suspect involved in a fiery five vehicle crash since last year, Brazos County Law Enforcement got their man.

22-year-old JB Obrian Wright of Brenham was arrested yesterday (Thursday) on four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and a DWI.

Wright was booked into the Brazos County Detention Center, and later released after posting a $122,000 bond.

According to police, the crash occurred last year when Wright was speeding along Texas Avenue at the intersection of Harvey Mitchell Parkway and collided with another vehicle.

Both vehicles burst into flames, but Wright and the other driver made it out alive. Three other vehicles were also damaged during the crash.

The driver of the vehicle that Wright hit is reported to have suffered a lacerated spleen, a fractured pelvic bone, fractured ribs, a concussion, a head laceration, and injuries to his knee that required surgery.

The drivers of the other three vehicles also suffered various injuries.

Police reviewed surveillance video that showed Wright drinking at a restaurant and then going to a bar afterwards.

Electronic recording devices taken from his vehicle revealed that Wright was traveling at 85 miles per hour, and showed no signs of slowing down.
