NATIONAL NIGHT OUT TO BE HELD ON OCTOBER 4

The annual effort to get neighbors and first responders to meet one another, known as National Night Out, is being held next month.
National Night Out is Tuesday, October 4, from 6-8:30pm.
The theme for this year’s event is “Aloha Spirit.” Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite beach going attire, and come outside to meet your neighbors and local first responders.
Anyone wanting to register a block party must do so by Friday, September 30, to ensure that they are on the list for attendance.
Block parties inside the city limits can be registered with Sergeant Steven Eilert at the Brenham Police Department by calling 979-337-7326.
Block parties outside the city limits can be registered by calling Lieutenant Mark Whidden at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 979-353-7705.
The Brenham Police Department would also like to advise that they cannot guarantee an Officer will be able to make it to your block party this year.
Due to current staffing levels, the department’s goal is to still continue proactive policing and handling calls of service.
If time and calls permit, Officers will attempt to come by registered party locations.
