BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL HOSTING HOMECOMING PARADE WEDNESDAY
Downtown Brenham will be packed this (Wednesday) evening for Brenham High School’s annual Homecoming Parade.

The theme for this year’s parade is “Cubs Got Game”, with floats set to be decorated with game themes like popular board games, card games and video games.
Floats will start lining up on Main Street at 5 p.m. The parade will start at 6 p.m., heading down Main Street and turning left onto Alamo Street.

Main Street will be closed from North Chappell Hill Street to North Austin Street, while Alamo Street will be closed from Clinton Street to North Park Street. Streets will reopen to traffic at approximately 8 p.m.
KWHI will begin its broadcast of the parade at 5:45 p.m. on AM 1280, FM 101.7 and kwhi.com, and will also livestream it on the KWHI Facebook page.

Meanwhile, voting has begun at Brenham High School for the 20 students nominated for Homecoming royalty.
Running for Homecoming Queen are Brooke Bentke, Destanee Cooper, Jakayla Fisher, Kaitlyn Foster, Lauren Hook, Brynn Planto, Eliah Powell, Piper Puckett, Meg Rodriquez and Emma Workman.
Homecoming King candidates are Eric Aschenbeck, Noah Childs, Josiah Ferguson, Jake Forland, Gunner Gee, Kade LaSagna, Kade Rau, Shaun Ray, Ian Stelter and Rylan Wooten.
The Homecoming Queen will be crowned during the Cub football game Friday night against Richmond Randle. Kickoff at Cub Stadium is at 7:30 p.m., with 7 p.m. pregame on KWHI. The Homecoming King will be announced after the game.
