BURTON PANTHERS CRUSH LOUISE 54-7 TO STAY UNBEATEN

After getting off to a slow start, the Burton Panthers went on to dominate the Louise Hornets with a 54-7 victory on Thursday night in Flatonia.
After an exchange of punts, Louise scored on their second drive of the game as Roy Arrambide threw a 17 yard touchdown pass to Tayveon Kimble to make it 7-0 Hornets with 4:17 left in the first quarter.
On the next drive, the Panthers scored on an 8 yard run by Tyrone Gilmon. D'Mitry Schulte added the extra point to make it 7-7 with 3:17 left in the first quarter.
Gilmon scored his second touchdown on a 7 yard run on the first play of the second quarter. That put Burton up 14-7 with 11:56 left until the half.
Delvin Gantt scampered 42 yards for the next Panther touchdown with 9:16 left in the second quarter. Schulte missed the extra point, but Burton still led 20-7.
Pierson Spies scored on a 2 yard run and Schulte added the extra point to make it 27-7 with 8:39 left until halftime.
Colby Beck found Chad Schubert on a 21 yard touchdown pass. Schulte missed the extra point to make it Burton 33-7 with 4:41 left in the second quarter.
Beck then scored the Panthers' fifth touchdown of the quarter on a 6 yard run with 1:11 left. Schulte hit the extra point to make it 40-7 going into the locker room at half time.
Burton got two more touchdowns in the second half. Gilmon scored his third touchdown on a 55 yard run with 9:08 left in the third quarter to put the Panthers up 47-7.
Trent Unger rounded out the scoring with a 1 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Burton improves to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in district. They will be at Snook next Friday night.
