DREAMLINER DINER TO CLOSE DEC. 18
The Dreamliner Diner at the Brenham Municipal Airport will soon be closing.
December 18th will be the last day of business for the diner, which posted the announcement this (Friday) morning on Facebook. Owner Mindy Canion stated in the post that the decision is primarily due to “declining health.”
The diner opened at the airport on December 17, 2021, after formerly operating as Canion Kountry Bakery and Restaurant. In the post, Canion thanked the City of Brenham and all of the pilots, airport business operators and customers for their support over the past year.
According to the post, the diner’s hours will shift to 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on its days of operation, Wednesday through Sunday, until the diner closes.
After an executive session on Thursday, the Brenham City Council approved a mutual cancellation agreement with the diner pertaining to its lease for the restaurant portion of the terminal building at the airport.
The agreement will last through January 31, 2023 in order to allow all property and equipment belonging to the diner to be removed from the building.
We just moved here and love the Dreamliner.
It makes the best burgers. My wife and I are sad about this.
