PUBLIC PHOTO SHOOTS SATURDAY, SUNDAY AT LAKE SOMERVILLE STATE PARK

  

Anyone going to Lake Somerville State Park this weekend will have the opportunity to take part in photo shoots hosted by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

The first photo shoot will be held Saturday at the Birch Creek Unit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., while the second will take place on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nails Creek Unit. 

Texas Parks and Wildlife says the photo shoots are meant to help build a collection of modern photos of people enjoying the parks.

Event participants will have their park entrance fees waived.  They will need to sign a photo release and agree to pose for at least a few photos. 

Anyone taking part is encouraged to suggest ideas for activities to take photos of.
