BRENHAM ANIMAL SERVICES SEEKING COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR MOBILE ADOPTION UNIT CAMPAIGN

Brenham Animal Services is launching a community fundraising campaign for the purchase and outfitting of a new mobile adoption unit.

The organization is looking to raise $250,000 for a 26-foot, gas-powered mobile adoption and outreach van that will feature a climate-controlled interior, two roll-up doors and two 30-inch entry/exit swing doors.

Brenham Animal Services says the unit would allow the organization to more easily and safely bring adoptable animals directly to community events, businesses, schools, festivals and other locations, with a goal of giving shelter pets more opportunities to be seen, meet potential adopters and ultimately find homes.

Businesses, organizations and individuals are invited to help make the mobile adoption unit possible through five sponsorship levels, up to $50,000.

From September 20 – October 20, Brenham Animal Services is asking supporters to make donations toward the adoption van through Brazos Valley Gives.  Donations can also be made directly by going to https://cityofbrenham.org or calling 979-337-7351.
