BRENHAM POLICE CHIEF RECOVERING AFTER STROKE

  

Brenham Police Chief Ron Parker is recovering after suffering a stroke last week.

Parker was hospitalized in College Station.  According to the Calvary Baptist Church Facebook page, Parker’s condition has been upgraded from critical to stable, and he is no longer in the Intensive Care Unit.

The City of Brenham said it did not have an update at this time. 

Parker has served as the police chief of Brenham since March 2020.  He was previously the chief of police in La Porte.  

Captain Lloyd Powell is serving as the acting chief in the interim.
