HERITAGE SOCIETY OF WASHINGTON CO. TO HOLD SPRING GALA SATURDAY
The Heritage Society of Washington County will honor the history of the county at its annual Spring Gala this weekend.
Saturday’s gala at the Giddings Stone Mansion begins at 6 p.m. and will include a four-course meal, open bar, live music from the Tin Man Band, live and silent auctions, and a drawing with a grand prize of $10,000 and reserve grand prize of $5,000.
The theme for this year’s gala is “Innovation, Imagination and Inspiration”, celebrating the inventions of the 1800s and their creators.
The 2023 senior belles will be presented at the gala. They include Janie Anderson, Payten Savage, Caraline Ross, Madison Rogers, Gabrielle Renken, Carmen Niemeyer, Lainey Masterson, Emma Marth, Reagan Lange, Erica Ladd, Kinsley Mendoza, Autumn Kelley, Erin Keller, Leah Hardy, Kendal Gurka, Bianca Garcia and Marisa Cromwell.
Longtime Heritage Society supporters, Jim and Lois Kolkhorst, will also be recognized.
Proceeds from the gala aid the Heritage Society of Washington County and the Heritage Belles program in their efforts to restore and beautify the Giddings Stone Mansion and Giddings Wilkin House Museum, as well as educate the community about houses and families that helped build Washington County.
