GLAESMANN K’S 13 AS LADY PANTHERS BEAT SOMERVILLE 9-4

The Burton Lady Panthers got back on the winning track last (Friday) night with a 9-4 victory over the Somerville Lady Yeguas.

Reagan Roemer and Amaya Williams reached base on singles. Roemer stole third, and scored on a wild pitch. Bailey Glaesmann walked, and Aerynn Huntsman was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Williams scored on a steal of home. Allie Biggs walked to re-load the bases. Kalli Pohl singled to score Glaesmann, and Huntsman scored on an error. Katy Whitfield singled home Biggs, and Burton led 5-0 after one inning.

Somerville finally got on the board with a run in the top of third to cut the Lady Panthers' lead to 5-1.

The Lady Yeguas then scored two runs in the top of the fifth to trim the Burton advantage down to 5-3.

The Lady Panthers got some insurance in the bottom of the sixth. Whitfield walked, and Roemer and Fritsch singled to load the bases. Williams then cleared them all off with an inside-the-park grand slam. The runs put Burton up 9-3.

Somerville got one more run in the top of the seventh to make it 9-4, which was the final.

Bailey Glaesmann got the win going all seven innings, allowing three hits, four runs, only one was earned, two walks, and 13 strikeouts.
