BRENHAM ISD INCREASING SECURITY DUE TO SOCIAL MEDIA THREAT

  

A social media post has led to extra security on Brenham ISD campuses today (Tuesday). 

Brenham ISD released a statement saying that they have been made aware of a social media post that describes a threat against the school district.

The message, which was sent out through their mms system, said that while they do not believe the threat is credible, Brenham ISD takes all reports seriously.

BISD says that the health and safety of their students and staff is their main priority, therefore they will have additional officers and first responders on campuses today (Tuesday).

Brenham ISD added that they cannot stress enough how important it is for students to “See Something, Say Something.” Reports can be made in person to administration, or using the "Report a Safety Concern" button on the school’s website.
