THREE ARRESTED AFTER MULTI-COUNTY PURSUIT OF STOLEN VEHICLE ENDS WITH CRASH

Three people, including a juvenile, were taken into custody in Brazos County after a chase involving a stolen vehicle late Tuesday through Grimes County.
Shortly after 10:15 p.m., Navasota police observed a vehicle traveling over 110 mph on Highway 6, in a 75 mph speed zone. An officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled. The vehicle was verified to be stolen out of Waller County.
Navasota police pursued the vehicle into College Station and were assisted by the College Station Police Department. The vehicle crashed on Princeton Circle, and three occupants fled on foot.

At around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, College Station police located the suspects, who were identified as 17-year-old Romeo Jackson of Waller, 17-year-old Johnathan Bennett of Prairie View and a juvenile. Narcotics and firearms were discovered during the arrest of the suspects.
Jackson and Bennett were booked into the Brazos County Jail, while the juvenile was taken to the Brazos County Juvenile Detention Center.
Jackson is charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle and Evading Arrest or Detention. Bennett faces charges of Evading Arrest or Detention, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and Possession of Marijuana under 2oz. Navasota police are also filing charges against the suspects for Evading and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
