CHAPPELL HILL TO HOST BLUEBONNET FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND

The Official Bluebonnet Festival of Texas returns this weekend to Chappell Hill.

Hundreds of juried arts and craft vendors, live music and family-friendly activities are in store tomorrow (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Chappell Hill Historical Society President Joel Romo says over the course of decades, the event has grown from a small-town antique festival to bring in thousands of people from all over the country.

Vendors will be selling items like furniture, home décor and art, along with plenty of food and drinks.

Tomorrow’s music lineup features Dylan Rhys from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Jimmy Green from noon to 2 p.m. and DeAnna Wendolyn from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.  Sunday will host Green from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Justin Cole from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and Wendolyn from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Entry to the festival is free.  Parking is $10, with proceeds going toward the Chappell Hill Historical Society.
