BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET WEDNESDAY
The Burton School Board will hear a series of reports at its meeting this (Wednesday) evening.
Trustees will receive an update on the facilities bond project and monthly reports from the superintendent, principals and athletic director.
In action items, the board will consider changing the May 8th board meeting to May 9th in order to canvass the May 6th school board election.
Trustees will also look at approving the instructional materials allotment and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills certification for the 2023-24 school year, along with Burton Special Services Cooperative contracts. In addition, they will review the Texas Association of School Boards Risk Management Fund’s new comprehensive coverage program proposal for 2023-24.
An executive session will potentially be held to discuss personnel and district safety and security.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. in the Burton High School auditorium.
