BELLVILLE FFA TAKES HOME ANOTHER STATE CDE CHAMPIONSHIP
For the sixth year in a row, members of the Bellville FFA Chapter have qualified a CDE team for the National Competition to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana in November.
The Agricultural Sales team consisting of Jaylen Tesch, Maddie Diezi, Ainsley Hancock and Stewart Poffenberger finished first at the State contest held at Sam Houston State University this past weekend. Team members sold an agricultural product to a customer, performed a team activity and took an exam.
Another high-placing team was the Floriculture team, which finished second out of 65 teams competing. Team members were Lauren Lassus, Rachael Hohlt, Lydia Huebner and Madi Borne.
The Forage team, made up of Jack Luedeker, Kash Krueger, Gentrie Peschel and James Schumann, placed fourth out of 84 teams competing.
The Nursery Landscape team was ninth out of 60 teams. Its members include Levi Malinowski, Layne Malinowski, Katelyn Krenek and Matthew Wybro.
Bellville FFA qualified 10 teams for state this year and was awarded the Area XI Sweepstakes CDE award for the 17th straight year.
