THREE BRENHAM CUBS SELECTED FOR UPCOMING ALL STAR GAMES

Three members of the Brenham Cub Baseball Team have been selected to participate in the upcoming Greater Houston Baseball Coaches Association All Star Game and the All Star Futures Game.

The GHBCA All Star Game will be held Monday at 5pm at Constellation Field in Sugarland. Grant Rogas and Lane Sparks have been selected to participate.

This past season for the Cubs, Sparks led the team with a .365 batting average, and 32 runs scored. He also had 11 doubles, 2 triples, 13 RBIs, a .481 on-base percentage, and a .541 slugging percentage. Sparks was selected for the Futures Game last year.

Rogas had three homers, 13 RBIs, and a .324 batting average. He also finished with six doubles, three triples, a .432 on-base percentage, and a .581 slugging percentage.

Meanwhile, the GHBCA Futures Game will be on Tuesday at 7pm at Constellation Field. Drake Bentke was selected to participate.

This past season, Bentke had a home run and 22 RBIs to go along with a .337 batting average. He also finished with nine doubles, two triples, 13 runs scored, a .453 on-base percentage, and a .530 slugging percentage.
