BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT CHOSEN TO ATTEND CATTLE RAISERS ROUNDUP

A Brenham High School student has been selected to join 23 other young leaders in the beef industry to participate in the 2023 Cattle Raisers Roundup.

Kaylin Jacobs, who is entering her senior year and is an active member of the Brenham FFA, will attend a five-day educational program taking place July 24-28 and hosted by the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.

Attendees will take part in progressive, thought-provoking activities including tours of cattle operations, beef processing facilities and legislative offices.  They will engage in interactive educational sessions simulating real-world experiences.

The program includes visits to Austin, Victoria, Corpus Christi and San Antonio.

Tyler Schuster, the association’s manager of education and leader of Cattle Raisers Roundup, said the program “provides young leaders an unparalleled opportunity to gain beef industry knowledge and grow their professional development skills.”

Other participants from around the area include Ireland Bailey of Bryan and Cooper Mau and Harper Mau of Columbus.
