SIX SENTENCED IN 21ST DISTRICT COURT
Six people pleaded guilty and were sentenced on Thursday in 21st Judicial District Court before Judge Carson Campbell.
29-year-old Jarvis Ryan Maxey-Hamilton of Brenham was sentenced to 10 years in prison for Injury to a Child, a second-degree felony.
30-year-old Reannon Hillhouse of Grand Prairie was sentenced to 8 months in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance, a state jail felony.
20-year-old Mereicio Allen of Austin was sentenced to 5 years’ deferred adjudication probation, fined $500 and ordered to complete 100 hours of community service for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a state jail felony. He also received 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle, a third-degree felony.
31-year-old Justin Powell of Chappell Hill was sentenced to 4 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance, a third-degree felony. He was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service.
29-year-old Samantha Lynn Garcia of Houston received 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation, was fined $500 and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service for state jail felony-level Possession of a Controlled Substance.
25-year-old Dilmer Ventura-Hernandez of Cleveland was sentenced to 2 days in the Washington County Jail and fined $500 for Tampering with a Government Record, a Class A misdemeanor.
