POP-UP PLAY DAY, MOVIE IN THE PARK FRIDAY AT HENDERSON PARK
Summer fun is in store this (Friday) evening at Henderson Park in Brenham.
The City of Brenham will host a Pop-Up Play Day from 6 to 8 p.m. and the next showing in its Movies in the Park series, “DC League of Super Pets”, about 10 minutes after sunset.
City of Brenham Aquatic Superintendent Tammy Jaster says the Pop-Up Play Days are a great way to enjoy a variety of activities while learning more about what Brenham’s parks system has to offer.
Brenham Animal Services and the Washington County AgriLife Extension Office will be on site. Children will also be able to “touch a truck”, getting a close-up look at how vehicles from the City of Brenham, Brenham Fire Department, Brenham Police Department, Brannon Industrial Group and Platinum Bin Washers operate.
After the evening of games and activities comes the second of three summer movies being shown by the city.
The concession stand will be open, but families can also bring their own snacks and meals.
Movie sponsors are BRIANNAS Fine Salad Dressings, Strand Associates, the City of Brenham, and KWHI and KTEX-106.
