BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED SUNDAY MORNING

  

A Brenham man was arrested early Sunday morning on multiple charges.

Brenham Police report that early Sunday morning at 5:40 Officer Bryan Morong initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of West Main Street and South Dixie Street. The vehicle failed to yield to officers, eventually stopping in the 1900 block of West Main Street. Initial investigation revealed the driver, identified as Chad Everette Martinez, 32 of Brenham, to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Martinez was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container. Martinez was discovered to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued out Refugio County for Failure to Appear for Possession of Marijuana. Martinez was additionally charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle.
