SCHULENBURG POLICE ARREST SEVEN IN THEFT CASE
Schulenburg Police arrested multiple suspects that were involved in a theft at Pilot Travel Center.
Officers were dispatched at 7:45pm Tuesday after receiving a report of a theft that had just occurred.
The caller said that the suspects left Pilot in an older model white van.
Police located the van and conducted a traffic stop on I-10 west bound near the 674 mile marker.
There were a total of eight suspects in the vehicle.
After reviewing the security camera footage, it was determined that all of them stole something from Pilot. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed several stolen items and marijuana.
One of the suspects was transported by Fayette County EMS to the hospital for treatment of previous injuries. Charges will be pending.
The remaining seven suspects were arrested on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Theft, Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Fugitive Intent to Give False Information, and a Warrant for Failure to Appear out of Webb County.
The suspects are 32 year old Jonathan Virjan, 32 year old Alex Flores, 35 year old Michael Ramirez, 20 year old Dagberto Castillo, 27 year old Michael Flores, 52 year old Isaac Amaro III, and 30 year old Jose Morales. All of them are from Laredo.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas DPS assisted with making the arrests.
