BRENHAM PRIDE MEMBERS QUALIFY FOR AAU JUNIOR OLYMPICS

Five members of the Brenham Pride are going to be making their way to Des Moines, Iowa next Saturday for the AAU Junior Olympics.  Brenham Pride is a local youth program that is coached by Cubette Track and Field Hall of Famer Stephanie Adams.  Qualifiers include:

Quincy Adams II in the Long Jump, and the Triple Jump (where he was the Gold Medalist at Regionals)

Jakaylah Anderson in the 100 Meter Dash, 200 Meter Dash, and the Long Jump (where she was a Silver Medalist at Regionals)

Laynee Appling – Long Jump

Kevin Mitchell II – Triple Jump

Daliyah Richard – Long Jump

The five Brenham Pride members qualified at the recent South Texas Region 19 Qualifier in Converse, Texas. In order to qualify for the AAU Junior Olympics, they had to finish in the six of their respective events.

The AAU Junior Olympics runs July 29 through August 5.
